Position: RA1459 Click to Play Video Title: Director, Market Research - Research Supplier Salary: 90-120K Location: CT - Stamford Description:Online Market Research Supplier needs a strong custom survey research professional. The position will provide information on the Market Research team’s current project workload, staff and department needs. Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of analyst.
- Provide project support as needed through all phases of the research process, from inception, study design, survey design through analysis and final presentation.
- Problem solving skills, a keen ability to develop solutions to field, sample, and analysis issues as they arise.
- Ability to plan, design, and execute multiple online methodologies.
- Act as the liaison between operations and sales departments to move projects efficiently through the entire research process.
- Effectively communicate timing and resource requirements of the market research team to other departments
- Manage the scope of a project; client expectations of deliverables, timing, and methodology limitations.
- Manage communications and the process in place to resolve changes in scope of a project that deviate from the project agreement.
- Review analyst surveys and reports, providing feedback and assistance on honing the conclusions and recommendations into actionable findings that meet the client’s objectives.
- Be the client facing senior researcher on large or strategic projects, managing both the client relationship and the overall project.
- Ability to set priorities with the team
- Present market research findings to clients, assist junior staff with presentations
Requirements:
- 7+ years in a custom research supplier, in a client service role
- Management experience of junior staff
- A Bachelors or advanced degree is required
- Knowledge of all operational components including: Questionnaire development; Survey logic; Understanding of sampling issues; Data cleaning, weighting; Cross tabbing
- Excellent analytic skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Ability to be a strong team leader
- Proven ability to quickly build client confidence
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities
- Strong analytic, writing and presentation skills; building an actionable story from the data
- Experience with multivariate techniques – when to use them and how to interpret the output
- Experience with traditional Marketing Science output and how to interpret
- Knowledge of a variety of different research methods
