Description:

Market Research Supplier is looking for a custom research seller/doer for their employee owned firm. The family oriented culture lends itself well to those that work well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have sold customer experience research but they are interested in anyone with strong diverse custom research experience. The position may be located in any place in the US. The firm’s Headquarters are in Cincinnati, OH, but you may work remotely from other offices or your home office.
The firms’ clients include many Fortune 500 companies in financial services, healthcare, CPG / consumer goods, technology, insurance, restaurants, and other fast growing markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Create new business and bringing in new business through value added selling, consulting, and managing relationships.
  • Expertise in defining problems, developing research designs, executing complex studies, analyzing data, and uncovering insights to guide our clients in making the most informed decisions possible.
  • Operate as a team leader, to provide a full-range of research expertise in new product innovation, shopper marketing, segmentation, pricing, advertising awareness, branding, customer loyalty, and many other strategic marketing areas.
  • Depending upon the scope and requirements of the client project, AEs may also perform the analysis, interpretation, report and storytelling for presentation of conclusions, and follow up workshops for implementation of results.

Requirements:
  • Must have experience on the supplier side within custom survey research, selling and managing large custom research projects and consulting on value added insights with clients.
  • A mix of client side and supplier side is ideal with expertise in a breadth of research areas.
  • At least 7 years of relevant marketing research experience.
  • Possess experience conducting a variety of types of studies some of which should include, but not be limited to advertising awareness, branding, segmentation, pricing, new product development, and customer engagement, satisfaction and loyalty.
  • A Master’s or MBA is preferred.

Digital Media Publishing firm serving financial services with paid subscription information services, conferences and events, and advertising and marketing services needs a Editor in Chief (EIC) of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). The role is reporting to the Group Editorial Director and is responsible for all content published under the M&A brand – including textual content, rich and social media content, whether staff-created, aggregated or contributed. The EIC must be or must quickly become an authority on
participants and transactions in middle-market deal making. The EIC will be or must quickly become the brand’s internal and external ambassador, a source of information to colleagues across the company and to the brand’s external constituencies. In addition to ensuring that all of the brand’s content is delivered to the company’s standards, the EIC is responsible for ensuring that the brand’s editorial and content development activities are aligned with its business strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure continuous quality of the brand’s digital content, including content and look of the home page, all emails, and overall coverage and daily publishing strategy.
  • In conjunction with the Editorial Director and Publisher, articulate the mission statement and market overview for the publication.
  • Supervise e-newsletter activity, providing editorial direction and approving daily issues.
  • Engage in and supervise Social Media strategy execution and meet specified objectives.
  • Interact with colleagues at other SM brands and functions to explore synergies. Communicate new functionality needs to colleagues and executives.

  • Identify, assign stories to and manage freelancers, including the execution of copyright agreements and paperwork related to expenses/invoicing.
  • Manage freelance and T&E expenses according to budgets amounts, coordinating with and reporting to Editorial Director on regular basis. Plan industry coverage requiring travel, assign editors for that travel, and approve plans in accord with budget.
  • Perform QA on content entering CMS
  • Confer with Art/Creative producers on digital and print illustrations, magazine covers.
  • Work with the sales and marketing department on positioning of the publication, annual Editorial Calendar and other consultations as needed.
  • Consult on or develop editorially driven Web seminars or live meetings.
  • Supervise and contribute to video, slideshow and podcast production
  • Collaborate with company conference and events group in identifying event topics and participating as needed and as appropriate.
  • As brand ambassador, the EIC will periodically take on speaking engagements or media appearances serving to promote the publication and its brand awareness.
