Description:

Software company is looking for a market researcher to add to the growing research team. As a Market Researcher, you’ll conduct primary and secondary market research to support stakeholders across the company. Our research spans from discovery to evaluation, drawing on methods such as focus groups, in-depth interviews, quantitative surveys, and statistical analysis. For this position, we are looking for an individual with a mixed-methods background (versed in both qualitative and quantitative methods), with an understanding of how to integrate diverse sources of insights, including primary and secondary research. The right candidate will have experience conducting rigorous, creative, impactful research, will be an excellent communicator and storyteller, be passionate about the wellness industry, enjoy collaborating with others and be committed to continuously learning and evolving.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research, analyze data, and generate clear recommendations supporting business objectives defined by stakeholders.
  • Work with product and marketing managers to formulate research questions and propose research approaches in line with established timelines and using available resources.
  • Deliver customer insights and recommendations supported by data for product strategy, sales & marketing strategy, and product positioning.
  • Monitor industry and wellness trends in the competitive marketplace that signal opportunities and threats.
  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, conduct SWOT analyses.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with an emphasis in Statistics, Marketing, Psychology, Business Administration, Communication preferred.
  • 5 years of Market Research experience gathering customer insights, primarily through surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews and textual analysis.
  • Ability to synthesize a wide array of primary and secondary data to inform insights and translating those to reports with actionable steps.
  • Possess a strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research approaches; and an understanding of data analysis and principles of experimental design.
  • Experience using SPSS, R or similar statistical packages preferred.
