Consumer Product Firm is looking for a Senior Insights Market Research professional to join the team.
The role will work closely with the Head of Marketing. Important things: Understanding of Digital Research, segmentation, Digital Ad measurement, Brand Tracking, and Neuroscience. The role will work with suppliers to manage the research but must be able to create their own survey’s on demand if needed. The Senior Insights Manager drives consumer insights and works seamlessly with cross functional partners to further grow the brand insight initiatives and support the brand team for key projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Insight Learning Agenda for categories to drive brand share and category growth.
  • Leads assigned Brand projects with assertiveness and leadership with best in class insight techniques to address business questions.
  • Spearheads the Demand Space learning within the Brand and Sales teams to drive brand and category growth on a continuous basis.
  • Gives voice to the consumer learning and partner, collaborate closely with Marketing base business and Innovation team, Sales, and R&D partners for North America.
  • Partners with analytics and Business Insights manager to support holistic overviews and reveal insights that drive base business initiatives.
  • Partners with category management to propose and support shopper strategies for specific brands.

Requirements:
  • 6 years of consumer insights, development and commercialization insight experience for a CPG organization key, and innovation experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in the ability to synthesize and translated a cohesive picture from a wide variety of information types and sources.
  • Ability to effectively communicate insight findings in writing and orally to marketing and key stakeholder audiences.
  • Proficiency in or strong aptitude for working with data and guiding research agencies in analyses and reporting.
  • Solid presentation skills and translating insights into actions that address business questions for impact.
  • Seasoned experience with survey research methods and tools, for both Qualitative and Quantitative techniques.
  • Solid working experience of Consumer Segmentation studies, Demand Space/5 Ws frameworks and how to leverage for brand growth.
  • Solid working experience of Advertising testing tools such as Neuroscience and best in class in market pre-advertising testing techniques (IPSOS Connect/ASI, Millward Brown Link).
  • Solid working experience of Digital Advertising tools in pre-testing creative online and post measurement of creative via Facebook, YouTube (videos, banners).
  • The ability to critic pre-Ad testing (TV and Digital) approaches and leverage different copy testing methodologies to improve and qualify creative.
  • Experienced in Concept writing and validation tools through leading edge techniques.
  • Experienced with different qualitative approaches, as well as advertising testing, packaging evaluation.
  • Experienced in presenting insight findings in-person to managerial or executive level audiences and translating findings in a palatable way both written and orally.
  • Demonstrative experience of managing research partners to obtain the best value of work and deliverables.
  • Good understanding of syndicated data and it’s uses, such as IRI data, household panel data.
  • Displays leadership in assisting and guiding Marketing to embed the Consumer in all work and maintain the Consumer at the forefront.

They are looking for people who really want to play an active role in building something differentiated and valuable. The Insight Manager plays a leadership role in the design and execution of primary quantitative research efforts for clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the research design for specific quantitative research project(s), including method selection, sampling plan, analytic plan, and report design
  • Directly execute questionnaire creation, revisions and finalization, ensuring that client research objectives will be met
  • Work with insight analysts and associate(s) to ensure proper 1) study programming and fieldwork, 2) banner plan and tab creation, and 3) data delivery
  • Conduct analysis and complete research summaries, ensuring strategic insight(s) are both clearly communicated and delivered as requested
  • Effectively present and/or communicate research results to various audiences, including client senior management
  • Proactively and successfully manages and coordinates multiple research projects and timelines so as to deliver on time and in accordance with client request(s)
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and executes work with a high degree of accuracy and precision
  • Communicates frequently and effectively both with internal and external stakeholders; sets clear expectations and follows up appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Supports the development and maintenance of strong relationships with existing clients; works to ensure high client satisfaction
  • Develops understanding of client categories, brands, and business dynamics and utilizes that understanding to become a valued business partner

Requirements:
  • 5+ years primary market research related experience.
  • 2-3 years developing quantitative research surveys, including, but not limited to, concept tests, product tests, variety sorts, and other custom research studies.
  • Well-development understanding of quantitative market research methodologies, sampling practices, analytical tools (statistical testing), and best practices.
  • Knowledge of research techniques used to assess concepts/products/programs, identify targets, and monitor business performance are all required.
  • Demonstrated ability to use quantitative research tools and techniques to answer key research questions and address business objectives.
  • Must possess excellent creative and analytic problem-solving skills; analyzes situations to think of new solutions and make recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret results and draw conclusions from analyses; troubleshoot errors in data and interpretation.
  • MBA, in business, marketing, psychology or related field preferred; BS considered with strong experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary lead on specific project analysis and reporting, centered on creation and execution of client-ready narratives with clear strategic direction based on a close reading of both primary and secondary data sets.
  • Duties also include chart/table creation in Excel and/or creating visual PowerPoints for presentation as well as assisting with the creation of survey questionnaires.
  • The analyst will work from company offices in Century City, but may be expected to attend research screenings around the greater Los Angeles area and participate in client meetings, as necessary.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of supplier-side market research experience
  • Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to effectively tell a research story that delivers on defined research objectives
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a larger analytical team to deliver polished reports on tight timelines
  • Possess experience presenting research findings to clients
  • Knowledgeable about marketing concepts like positioning, ad testing, and brand health
  • Experience with market research methodologies and techniques (i.e., monadic testing, segmentation, conjoint)
  • Comfortable working with both large quantitative data sets and qualitative results
  • Fully proficient in PowerPoint design skills, Excel and Word

Responsibilities:
  • Drafting screeners and surveys
  • Developing analysis plans and creating report shells
  • Analyzing data and writing reports
  • Testing programmed surveys to ensure they are error-free, and working with programmers to resolve any errors prior to survey launch
  • Checking data as it is collected for additional confirmation of accuracy
  • Setting quotas and actively managing data collection throughout the field period
  • Creating specifications for data tabulations and checking the accuracy of this output
  • Creating code frames for open-end response coding
