Insurance Company is looking for a market research professional with strong quantitative and some qualitative experience. The role will be responsible for performing both primary and secondary research, which will highlight business implications and help inform and direct strategy. This position performs research, develops analyses and presents findings on a variety of issues impacting the health care/managed care/insurance industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Plans and conducts qualitative and quantitative research projects to completion, including but not limited to design, data collection, tabulation, analysis and presentation.
  • Develops and performs analysis of research utilizing various methods of data and sample collection according to established statistical methods (i.e. surveys, questionnaires, in-depth interviewing, etc.)
  • Creates analyses and presentations which highlight research findings.

In this role, you will work hands-on and under the direction of more senior colleagues on a range of custom research projects designed to provide clients with strategic direction to help them grow their business. This position is ideally suited for those who enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative environment and can be flexible with change.

Responsibilities:
  • Drafting screeners and surveys
  • Developing analysis plans and creating report shells
  • Analyzing data and writing reports
  • Testing programmed surveys to ensure they are error-free, and working with programmers to resolve any errors prior to survey launch
  • Checking data as it is collected for additional confirmation of accuracy
  • Setting quotas and actively managing data collection throughout the field period
  • Creating specifications for data tabulations and checking the accuracy of this output
  • Creating code frames for open-end response coding
  • Populating charts and tables in reports and completing accuracy checks on tabled data
  • Responding to requests for additional data cuts and analysis as required
  • Proactively maintaining communication with internal clients on projects via daily status reports

The Insight Manager plays a leadership role in the design and execution of primary quantitative research efforts for clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the research design for specific quantitative research project(s), including method selection, sampling plan, analytic plan, and report design
  • Directly execute questionnaire creation, revisions and finalization, ensuring that client research objectives will be met
  • Work with insight analysts and associate(s) to ensure proper 1) study programming and fieldwork, 2) banner plan and tab creation, and 3) data delivery
  • Conduct analysis and complete research summaries, ensuring strategic insight(s) are both clearly communicated and delivered as requested
  • Effectively present and/or communicate research results to various audiences, including client senior management
  • Proactively and successfully manages and coordinates multiple research projects and timelines so as to deliver on time and in accordance with client request(s)
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and executes work with a high degree of accuracy and precision
  • Communicates frequently and effectively both with internal and external stakeholders; sets clear expectations and follows up appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Supports the development and maintenance of strong relationships with existing clients; works to ensure high client satisfaction

  • 5+ years primary market research related experience.
  • 2-3 years developing quantitative research surveys, including, but not limited to, concept tests, product tests, variety sorts, and other custom research studies.
  • Well-development understanding of quantitative market research methodologies, sampling practices, analytical tools (statistical testing), and best practices.
  • Knowledge of research techniques used to assess concepts/products/programs, identify targets, and monitor business performance are all required.
  • Demonstrated ability to use quantitative research tools and techniques to answer key research questions and address business objectives.
  • Must possess excellent creative and analytic problem-solving skills; analyzes situations to think of new solutions and make recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret results and draw conclusions from analyses; troubleshoot errors in data and interpretation.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Insight Learning Agenda for categories to drive brand share and category growth.
  • Leads assigned Brand projects with assertiveness and leadership with best in class insight techniques to address business questions.
  • Spearheads the Demand Space learning within the Brand and Sales teams to drive brand and category growth on a continuous basis.
  • Gives voice to the consumer learning and partner, collaborate closely with Marketing base business and Innovation team, Sales, and R&D partners for North America.
  • Partners with analytics and Business Insights manager to support holistic overviews and reveal insights that drive base business initiatives.
  • Partners with category management to propose and support shopper strategies for specific brands.

Requirements:
  • 6 years of consumer insights, development and commercialization insight experience for a CPG organization key, and innovation experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in the ability to synthesize and translated a cohesive picture from a wide variety of information types and sources.
  • Ability to effectively communicate insight findings in writing and orally to marketing and key stakeholder audiences.
  • Proficiency in or strong aptitude for working with data and guiding research agencies in analyses and reporting.
  • Solid presentation skills and translating insights into actions that address business questions for impact.

  • Experienced in Concept writing and validation tools through leading edge techniques.

  • Experienced in presenting insight findings in-person to managerial or executive level audiences and translating findings in a palatable way both written and orally.

  • Good understanding of syndicated data and it’s uses, such as IRI data, household panel data.
