Title: HR Generalist
Salary: 60-70K+
Location: IL - Chicago
Description:

Full-service research consultancy using conversational insight solutions and utilizing game-changing, proprietary conversational technologies is looking for human resource generalist who is based in Chicago, this role is a remote position till July of 2021. SHRM Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective working relationships with line management on the delivery of people programs in support of the achievement of HR strategies and goals.
  • Provide first-point-of-contact support and guidance to employees on HR-related matters.
  • Own the full-cycle recruitment cycle including preparation of job postings; screening applicants and recommending candidates for interviews; involvement in selection of suitable candidates; conducting reference checks; presenting offers and all related correspondence.
  • Understand local employment laws to ensure understanding and adherence in the workplace.
  • Ensure effective communication and implementation of initiatives, processes, and tools including salary benchmarks, job levelling, recognition etc.
  • Collaborate, maintain, and support implementation of the employee policies and procedures handbook.
  • Create, collaborate on, and implement recruiting strategies ie digital job fairs and social influence.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation processes and programs; with the Director, HR, continuously work to improve the onboarding process to ensure new employee success in their role and the company overall.
  • Manage all offboarding processes including asset return and exit interviews.
  • Act as SME for our internal HRIS - BambooHR.
  • Maintain all employee and contractor personnel files, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare employee letters (employment verification, visa letters, annual compensation, role change letters etc.) announcements, and other communications/correspondence as required.
  • Prepare standard weekly/monthly reports for distribution to executive team and create ad-hoc reports as needed.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Degree or Diploma in HRM or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Hold or are working towards a CPHR/SHRM designation.
  • Sound understanding of HR principles, policies and practices and ability to apply this knowledge to develop creative, effective solutions.
  • Experience working with US benefits and 401k administration.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters with complete professionalism.
  • HRIS proficiency (bonus points if you have used BambooHR), with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A solid track record of delivering exceptional candidate and employee experience.
  • Outstanding computer skills, including O365.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in the high-tech industry strongly preferred.
  • Enthusiasm to work as an engaged member of a rapidly evolving business.
