Fast-growing public software company is seeking a strategic marketing leader to drive the next phase of growth for its Risk and Compliance Software portfolio. This business helps enterprises tackle complex regulatory compliance, supply chain transparency, and sustainability challenges in a multi-billion-dollar segment of the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) market. The position is reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, with a dotted line to the President. The position will lead a global team of 13 marketing professionals and partner closely with sales, product, and commercial leaders to translate sophisticated software capabilities into compelling customer value and deliver measurable revenue impact.
This is a high-visibility leadership role at the intersection of product marketing, demand generation, and partner marketing. You’ll shape go-to-market strategies for an innovative portfolio that includes cutting-edge AI-powered solutions helping customers meet evolving regulations, operationalize sustainability, and strengthen third-party risk management. This job is ideally located in Chicago, IL or Austin, TX.
Responsibilities:
Translate complex technical features into clear customer benefits and compelling value propositions
Develop and execute product marketing strategies, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans
Lead demand generation, content, campaigns, and partner marketing initiatives across global channels
Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions
Collaborate with sales leadership on pipeline reviews, enablement, and revenue-driving initiatives
Build and maintain high-impact marketing assets, including personas, positioning decks, and campaign collateral
Represent the business at industry conferences and trade shows
Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers and individual contributors in a matrixed, global environment
Requirements:
10+ years of marketing experience, including 5+ years managing and developing teams(with software/SaaS experience required)
Strong software/SaaS marketing experience is required
Proven expertise in product marketing, demand generation, and portfolio-level strategy
Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior executives
Strong business acumen, financial awareness, and experience managing marketing budgets
Demonstrated success working collaboratively in a matrix organization
High energy, strategic thinking, and a track record of driving measurable growth
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
